About The Coffee
We named this coffee Doña Emérita, after Wilson's grandmother. La Aldea emerged from a shared vision to enhance the quality of a family coffee farm globally. Wilson Ordoñez leads this family initiative, emphasising a blend of traditional and mechanical processes to honour the intrinsic value of every coffee bean. Extending beyond the family, Wilson shares knowledge with local youth, inspiring a new generation of coffee farmers. We visited Wilson's farm in 2023 and are excited by the potential of his coffees and his plans for the future.
